INVITATION ONLY: Story Pilgrimage, 3 Sept 2019
03 Sep 2019
Waterstones (to start) , London
Many hundreds of years ago, Geoffrey Chaucer wrote about people who went on a journey, telling stories…
It was mildly competitive. The person with the best story won a prize – a free meal.
We’ve revived Chaucer’s game for the 21st century. And on 3 September we’re running an invitation-only storytelling pilgrimage on Hampstead Heath, in north London.
We’ll be joined by three extremely successful authors of books for young people. Authors whose works have won prizes and been televised and sold millions of copies.
On the way, we’ll be sharing storytelling techniques that can improve both impromptu storytelling and stories worked up over a longer period.
We’ll be getting exercise, good company, and cracking stories…
This event is invitation-only. If you’d like to join something similar, get in touch.
What do I need to bring?
Water or similar to drink while you walk. Raincoat just in case. Sensible shoes for walking. A mildly competitive streak. A sense of humour. Bit of cash for coffee / tea breaks, before / during / after.
